Every staff member I encountered were so friendly, helpful & patient (I think that was about ten people starting from receptionist, admin, nurses, consultant & porter). Endoscopy department got me in and out within 4 hours. It was professional and efficient, and super clean surroundings.
I recently had a tonsillectomy at Bon Secours Hospital under the care of Mr Peter Walshe. From the consultation prior to the surgery to the instructions for the day, it was all very clear and reassuring. The day of surgery went so smoothly too. I’d particularly like to thank the nurses in the day ward, who were incredibly friendly and attentive while waiting for a bed in the overnight ward. I’m grateful for the care i received & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bon Secours to anyone needing similar treatment.
Waited over 2 hours in the waiting room in the endoscopy department today. Appointment was scheduled for 1pm and was not seen until 3pm. When the nurse called my name I then waited another hour to be seen by the consultant for the procedure. Discharged at 6.15! I've had better treatment in public hospitals for these routine procedures. I also noticed how busy it was so they are definitely overbooking appointments for consultants which results in a lack of service you would expect in a private hospital. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have insurance go elsewhere.
Visited Bon Secours Hospital Dublin for blood tests, assuming they were covered under public healthcare like other hospitals. However, upon arrival, I was unexpectedly charged a significant fee with no prior warning via phone, website, or appointment confirmation. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and erodes patient trust. I strongly recommend the hospital clearly disclose all potential charges BEFORE patients arrive for services. Will not return unless this policy changes.
Great treatment by the staff in the AMAU ward, it was very clean and modern. Great levels of clarity from all staff and tender care while dealing with the elderly.
