My wife gave birth in Cavan Hospital's MLU and we are super happy with the care received. The team of midwives took care of her throughout the whole process and thanks to their knowledge and great development of their role we had a happy and healthy baby. Thank you so much MLU team.
Had an excellent experience with my son n A&E over Easter weekend. Thank you all. Keep up the good work.
A&E staff were fantastic even though they were under pressure. Lucky to get a bed that night and I couldn't praise the staff in Medical 3 highly enough. Special thanks to Joanne, Anita, Donna and Vincent. They go above and beyond for their patients.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Had my little boy there 5 months ago…. Had to have a emergency C-section got 15 staples put in, was told when being discharged to get my staples removed a week later by my PHN, got home 4 days after C-section and was rushed back for suspected infection of the incision. Sat in A&E with my 4 day old in triage with a woman who tested positive for COVID & RSV…. Finally got seen to my the gynaecologist was told no they needed to stay in for another week…. Got home and had to make a follow up appointment with my GP so I did, my incision got worse to the point were my blood pressure went through the roof I was rushed back a 2 weeks before Christmas….. Was left in A&E again for 10hrs with no painkillers and extremely high blood pressure…. Got sent up to the maternity ward were I told them on several occasions that I needed to get my staples removed the following day and they said they would but they completely ignored me…. My mental health midwife that I was seeing throughout my pregnancy had to go and ask them when I was getting them removed and to which they replied “oh we didn’t know they were still in” ALL 15 STAPLES were stuck in my skin to were they had to be yanked out and I was told “oh stop this isn’t painful”…… They ruined my experience with having my little boy I never got to enjoy the new born bubble or anything like that…. This is only the main things that has happened to me, my partner was also treated badly.
Complete incapable "doctors" got a call from them that I should bring my son in for a measles test that he would be in and out just a simple swab up the nose and done.... they put us in a "isolated" room where we walked pass about 10 kids. room was boiling to the point that we were all sweating we were there for about 3 hours went to go ask politely what's going on we were supposed to be in and out she talked to me with discuss and told me to go back In the room that their waiting for a specific doctor to do the swab.. I took my son and left..
