A few minutes ago, I visited this facility to inquire whether a nurse could check my blood pressure, as my home monitor indicated a reading above 200. The receptionist informed me that the nurses were occupied with other duties in the clinic. I left feeling confused, as I had assumed that nurses would be available to assist in urgent situations such as this.
The community health nurses are brilliant. Very professional and kind. My only issue is that no one EVER answers the phone, not normally phones back if you leave a message. I phoned the main line and the nurses phoned and although I understand the nurses are in and out, the main phone should be manned always while the centre is open.
scariest experience ever - went there with my 3 year old for his eye doctor appointment and turns out they are seeing junkies and druggies and giving them doses on the same floor and in the same waiting area! One went into the elevator with us: face beaten up, totally off the rails, homeless and stinky as hell, and was never scared so much for my and my kid's safety before. Is this where our tax money is going to??? On the way down, decided to take the stairs to avoid another incident, and surely, another addict was coming up the narrow staircase. Absoulte disgrace!
Attended CAMHS in cavan for 7 years on and off. All I have to say is they are the WORST thing ever. Went in today and was talking about my mood and they asked if I was suicidal etc. they then said I should take some vitamin B tablets and a one hour walk a day. What a waste of time. They are so bad at their jobs.
