My 92 year old father was here for about a week earlier this Summer following an infection. We were very pleasantly surprised when we visited. It was far better than the nursing home he was in at the time. The staff were kind, helpful, treated us/family with care and looked after Dad with respect. Well done team - and thank you for all that you did for Dad.

Fairview community unit is attached to The Mater hospital as a convalescent unit. A high standard of care, knowledge and professionslism was shown by Nurse manager Adena, staff nurse John, night staff nurse Sona and care assistants especially Louise. The lady who organised the meals paid exacting detail to individuals dietary requirements. I would have no hesitation recommending the staff and facility.
My Dad went there from the Mater and they left him lying in the bed for the whole time he was there with the rails up from what I witnessed. Took away any independence he had. I wouldn’t recommend sending your loved one to Fairview.
My mam is there now. Food is diabolical, patients families bringing food. Otherwise, care is good
