This hospital is not in my "area" but I seem to be sent here more and more so certain procedures. the Entrance from Eccles St is chaotic so better to enter from the modern entrance on North Circular road. can't comment on parking as I've used public transport or cycle. inside the hospital, some directions are confusing to the various clinics but the staff are very helpful and the Clinics I found well run, far better to the clinics at the hospital in my "area" I note they don't share information between hospitals so I had to request it be transferred. a few coffee shops in the place. Overall I've had a good experience with this public hospital.
We have been in the hospital twenty past three today , with my wife. I was seen after seven hours,my wife was not,so we left after 8 hours. Is absolutely ridiculous system, People that were on private health care, were waiting for hours ,do not understand this. How come ordinary working class people have to be treated to these conditions. This was Thursday the 17th of April, the nurses were nice, the wait times, absolutely ridiculous. Do you have to have money to be treated better. What do you have to do to get to see a doctor in a suitable period of time. A minister in government on the television one time said you should not have to be waiting any longer than nine hours,is he for real, and that was Leo, would he be waiting for hours in a hospital I don't think so. Universal care for everybody and be treated exactly the same way , not waiting for hours on end. People that our genuine, and sick having to wait for that long shame on this country.
Mater Hospital in Dublin is an outstanding healthcare facility that deserves a five-star rating. The helpful staff greeted us warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The focus on fast work ensures timely care, while the friendly doctors take the time to explain procedures and answer questions, making the experience less intimidating. Their dedication to patient care is evident in their collaborative approach to providing the best outcomes. The hospital is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern facilities, reflecting the seamless teamwork of the entire staff. I highly recommend Mater Hospital for its exceptional service and compassionate care.
I fell off my bike. The roads in Ireland are filled with potholes. A broken wrist was the end result. I went to the swift clinic in Smithfield. Sweet in and out in less than two hours. Since then I’ve been back to the main hospital twice for X-rays and changing of my cast . Super service no complaints. You will have to wait a while but that’s life.
Clean and tidy hospital, doctor, nurse and staff are very professional. This hospital also has public piano which anyone can paly which cheer up The situation.
