⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5) This was my first visit to Tullamore Hospital, accompanying my son who was referred from Mullingar with a hand fracture. Overall, the care we received was excellent — from the medical staff to the clinical team, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. I truly appreciate the pressure healthcare workers are under, as a physician myself. However, I believe a warm welcome and basic courtesy cost nothing. Unfortunately, our experience at the patient enquiries window and the outpatient reception was disappointing. One lady at the outpatient desk (seated on the far right with glasses) was quite abrupt and repeatedly questioned why we were there — despite having a referral letter clearly in front of her. She then passed us to her colleague and left without a word. Similarly, the person at the enquiries window was not welcoming. That said, the receptionist we were eventually directed to was absolutely lovely — polite, respectful, and very helpful. She made a real difference, and I’m truly grateful for her kindness. To the others, I would gently say: if the job has become overwhelming or unenjoyable, perhaps it's time to consider something that brings more fulfilment. Every patient and family deserves compassion, especially in moments of stress. Thank you to the wider hospital team for your professionalism and care.
A massive changes has to be done to the way the food is being prepared. Menu and preparation technologies changed. Looks like nobody tastes it before serving. Fresh salads exists only for lunch time. Evening time no proper supper served. In picture is braised beef in sauce. It tasted as it looks like...
Absolutely disgusting hospital, any staff bare the nurses or the doctors have no respect for patients, waiting over 2 months for a PHONE appointment for an ear issue, just to be told 20 minutes past the appointment time that the doctor is very busy and he’ll call me at some point. A complaint has been made with the hse
Maybe the main hospital is good but the staff and nurses in ANE tullamore arent professional and very rude . I could write a longer review but I don't want to be nasty. Very rude staff was told if in left the building that she would personally look for me too discharge me even after been told I would have to wait 7hours to get bloods done . I don't understand how it's one rule for some and another for others . Very rude . Chairs falling apart standing for 7hours no thank you
Progressive Hospital with incredible staff. Humanist approach, thorough, considerate and professional. While my experience at A&E was not what it should have been, the hospital made up for it in follow up consultant appointments, surgeries and follow up care. I am presently on the mend and feel confident with some effort on my part that the results should be successful.
