My daughter was admitted to triage with low oxygen levels due to an acute asthma attack. The care and treatment she got was absolutely amazing. Words can’t describe our gratitude and admiration for the doctors and nurses who tended to her over the 6 days we were there. A massive thank you to Dr Osama, Nurses Eithne, Claire, Fiona, Geena, Joan physio therapists Mary, Paula and Dr Paula, Riol in triage. You are all amazing at what you do
I've been in Portiuncula Hospital many, many times. Births of my children, blood clot, concussion, bacteria in lungs, sepsis-like infection, loss of our baby... and some more. Never once have i felt not cared for, overlooked, rushed... Every single time I was there, I met the most amazing staff members. Cleaning staff, kitchen staff, nurses, doctors, midwifes, bed/wheelchair escorts- ALL of them were always so understanding, supportive, kind and what's most important- they listened. Always behaved appropriatly to situation. They were always there when needed and very quick to help with anything I needed. Never seen anyone being treated unkindly. Please remember, it is not the nurses and doctors fault they're understaffed and they all do what they can with what they got.
Dear portiuncula hospital Administration, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your hospital's radiology department. On Monday March 3,2025 , I visited my GP due to a persistent fever, chest heaviness, and cough,I have history of pneumonia which was my major concern. My GP prescribed antibiotics and referred me for a chest X-ray. Unfortunately, due to my ongoing health issues, I was late for my scheduled X-ray appointment on Monday March 10 at 8:40 am. Despite apologizing and explaining my situation, I was informed that the next available appointment would be in two weeks. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience. As someone who is already unwell, it is unacceptable to have to wait an additional two weeks for a diagnostic test that was deemed necessary by my GP. I hope that you will take my feedback seriously and take steps to improve the efficiency and patient-centricity of your services. Sincerely, Lijo
One of the highlights was the post-procedure care. The nursing staff was incredibly supportive, ensuring I was comfortable and had everything I needed for a smooth recovery. Overall, my experience at Ireland Hospital was excellent. I left feeling well cared for and confident in the treatment I received. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical attention!
I begin this comment gratefully and with much affection, I had my baby on 05/22 and we were very well treated, everyone was very attentive, may God bless you all.
