Here for my last follow up appointment (hopefully). Overall hospital experience was good, the times I’ve been here I got seen by a nurse for a triage shortly after the check in. However the wait time for the eye doctor can take some time. My first emergency appointment was on a Saturday, that was my longest wait time. I called around 10 on the phone to book an appointment and was asked to come check in at 1PM. Thank you for the nurses and doctors here, appreciate the work you guys do. And hopefully anyone that has to come here will get sorted 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Got an ear appointment through my GP. The overall experience was great. When you arrive in the emergency section, they’ll initially take you in for triage and send you back to the waiting room. After the triage, they called me in after 5 minutes which is pretty fast. It’s probably because I already had an appointment instead of walk-in. After they called me in, I talked to the trainee doctor who was also quite helpful and attentive. Then the doctor performed microsuction on both my ears. She was quite experienced and the procedure went smoothly. Although my experience was quite positive, it seemed like there were a lot of people in the waiting area and to be honest because I had an appointment through my GP, I was taken in before them so I don’t know the actual waiting time on a normal basis.
One of the finest health care experiences I've ever had. The reception staff the nurses in triage and the doctors have been nothing short of amazing. The professionalism in this hospital is up there with the best. To those moaning about waiting remember this, they are also attending to emergencies coming in via ambulance. If someone has a proper emergency as a result of an accident and are in agony or maybe a child in pain, I as a grown ass adult am quite happy to wait while they are taken care of. To those people suggesting the staff were rude I really don't know what RVEEH you attended but I'm quite happy to call you liars.
Absolutely terrible experience. My son was booked for an appointment 2:40, still waiting 4:30 and no doctor has seen him! Why do you do the appointments, it’s obviously not working, wasting peoples time and the nerves! Only thing was the nurses were nice.
Absolutely disgraceful! My pregnant girlfriend and me had a scheduled appointment at this hospital, yet she was forced to wait for hours with no proper explanation. Making a pregnant woman sit and wait endlessly is not just unacceptable—it’s downright inhumane. The lack of organization and disregard for patients is shocking. What’s the point of giving out appointments if they are completely ignored? This level of incompetence and disrespect is beyond frustrating. A hospital should be a place of care and efficiency, not a test of patience. Truly unacceptable and shameful!
