I had my Gastrocopy and Colonoscopy here last 20th of April on a weekend clinic. The nurses and other staff were great. I've waited 2 hours for my procedure and was happy it was over. It was too much for me and I don't like to repeat this kind of examination. When I think about it, I was fasting from 11 am Friday and my procedure was Sat 2pm and I got my first food which was scone at around 3pm. Now, I know I can survive longer fasting because I'm on 16 hour fasting almost everyday but now this becomes easier.
It is ridiculous. 12 hours already on ED waiting room on the chairs with unknown huge head ache. Ct scan and Bloods were taken after 4 hours waiting. Last 5 hours we are still in the waiting room awaiting for admission on word. My husband is lying on the chairs because in not able any more to sit. Where is hudge tax which we pay. Maybe less money for unemployed and more for people who are working, paying taxes and need medical help at times !!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡 You could die before get help. It's not płace for sick people.
My dad is currently in the Med North Word in the hospital. He is suffering from dementia and the nurses and doctors have been so patient and supportive. He is spotlessly clean and well fed. They play him showband music when he is distressed or confused and are so respectful of him. The ward is not the newest but it is bright and airy and very clean. Even the dinner ladies are cheery and friendly.
We came on bank holiday at 7 pm. We were told to be seen in within 6hours, as they were short with staff. The next day at 8am we were still waiting. Only two doctors on the night shift and not a chance to see one. Extreme disappointment 😞😞😞😞 thank God it wasn't a life threatening condition, cause we'd have no chance to survive. 10 nurses on the shift and no doctors around - completely scandalous - the management must be very poor. It's not fair on the nurses as they do their best. To have only two doctors in the building is ridiculous, lack of professionalism at it's best. The amount of taxes that people pay in Ireland... The hospital fully equipped and no doctors around - it must be the worst healthcare in Europe for sure. 13 hours on the chair in the waiting area and still waiting here without any help or diagnosis. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mother was taken to this hospital after a car accident. The orthopedic staff have been absolutely amazing to her especially as her family live at the other end of the country. We can’t thank them enough.
